This short film tells the story of a young lady named Susan who was Lazy but intelligent and innovative. The family were not understanding her capabilities so they were all against her and scolding her for being Lazy.Sasan had a younger sister which the family always compared her to because she was very active. Even though Sasan was lazy, she was inventing things that will make their life simpler in the house. Upon all the neglect and scoldings she never got discouraged but rather thought of new inventions that will make her do nothing in the house.

 

One evening, the family was having dinner and  at the dinner Susan was asked to pass a food but during the shot of Susan I will say there was a medium close up shot taken of her. This brought her close and I can tell her emotions and how she felt during that scene. This was where she had the idea to invent something that will pass the food for the family, so therefore, she had the idea to invent a rotating table which is also called the lazy Susan.

 

After the invention of the rotating table (Lazy Susan) someone outside the family noticed her capability and shared her invention to the restaurant so that it will be easier for all the people at large. This made Susan known and the family noticed her. This made me realized that the way Sasan was treated by the family was cruel and unfair, this made me feel pity and sad for Sasan. Susan’s character also made me feel that, its not everything that you listen or get discouraged about but rather see the solution.

 

The way the film was made correspond with the storyline. Susan was calm ,soft and her life was simple. The music at the background fitted the character of Susan. The display of the lightening in the film was accurate.The scene where Susan was being called on stage  gave a dark background and a spotlight in the middle which depict isolation and the brightness aspect of the film shown visibility.

 

To finalize my review, this film gives an important life lesson that, no matter what people say about you which is negative ,use that negative words to do something that will benefit you. It is also advisable to love your children equally without picking favorites.

It is known that being quiet doesn’t mean you can’t do great things just believe in yourself. Let’s stop looking down on people when the vulnerable
